ABOUT
Built by the people who had to do it by hand.
Westheath Commercial Intelligence grew from years of practical experience across major infrastructure, where commercial and contractual decisions meet engineering, asset, maintenance and operational realities — not from a view about what software could do in theory.
Where it came from.
The experience that shaped this platform is not confined to one discipline or one programme. A decision taken in one function often has to be understood, years later, by someone in another.
The recurring problem across all of them is the same. Requirement, evidence, assessment, decision and closure start out connected, and come apart as a programme evolves and the people change. By the time a position is re-examined, the reasoning lives in individuals rather than in a record, and the evidence records that were adequate at the time are rarely adequate then.
The platform exists to hold that chain together. The methodology was not invented for the software. The software was built to support work that was already being done, by hand, one evidence record at a time.

Why it is built this way.
Anyone who has assembled a commercial audit by hand knows two things that do not survive a product brochure.
One is that the hard part is not finding the answer. It is being able to show, two years later, why the answer was right — and the evidence records that were adequate at the time are rarely adequate then.
The second is that the judgement genuinely cannot be automated. Deciding whether a cost was properly due under a contract is professional work, done by an accountable person, and a platform that pretends otherwise is selling a liability.
Everything in the platform follows from those two facts.
Westheath.
Westheath Commercial Intelligence is a Westheath platform. The consultancy practice continues separately at westheath.uk.
